Walker Scott “Scotty” Ethridge was born in Lauderdale County, MS on February 1, 1913. His parents are George Morris Ethridge (Feb. 28, 1878 – Dec. 29, 1959) and Martha Felton Walker (Jan. 25, 1884 – Nov. 5, 1966). His parents were married in 1912. They established their first home in Meridian, MS on 1109 36th Avenue.
According to the World War 1 Draft Registration, his father George Morris Ethridge, at 22 was working as a machinist. He had black hair color and brown eyes. His father’s parents were William Christopher Ethridge (Nov. 15, 1852 – Sep. 29, 1939) and Susan Naomi Ethridge (Jun. 7, 1858 – May 6, 1906). Scotty’s father had 6 brothers and 3 sisters. His brothers were Flavel Dryden Ethridge (1881 - 1958), Sidney James Ethridge (1883 – 1963), Mack Eli Ethridge (1894 – 1974), Mark Eli Ethridge (1894 – 1974), and Lorenzo D Ethridge (1899 – 1900). His sisters were Mary Elizabeth Ethridge (1888 – 1963), Eula Clyde “Kelley” Ethridge (1891 – 1960), and Susan Florence Ethridge (1891 – 1960). George Morris Ethridge was buried in December 1959 at the Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian. After George married Martha Felton Walker, he started working at his retail grocery store.
His mother, Martha was born on January 25, 1884 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. After marrying George Morris Ethridge in 1912, during their marriage, they had a total of 5 children. Martha worked with her husband as a saleslady at their grocery store. She was buried with her husband at the Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, MS.

His brother George Ethridge Jr (Apr 16, 1914 – Oct 24, 1969) was born in Lauderdale, MS. He went to the University of Mississippi to become a lawyer in 1934. George worked as a lawyer in his own law office in Meridian, MS. He registered in the military on May 1, 1942. He stood at 6ft 2inches and weighed 150 pounds. He married Sara Elizabeth Scott (1916 – 2000). George died on October 24, 1969, at the age of 55. He did not have any children.
Mildred Ethridge Moran (Oct 10, 1916 – Nov 26, 1988) graduated high school and later moved to Washington, DC. She lived on Fifteenth Street North West. She lived with Louise Bell and Vistoria Simon in 1940. They all worked as Stenographers for the government. There was no marriage or kids recorded.
His sister Martha Harriet Etheridge “Hahn” (Apr 19, 1920 – Dec 26, 2014) graduated a Meridian High School in 1937. She completed two years of college and became a stenographer. She worked as a stenographer at a finance corporation. Martha was also apart of the Waves. She then moved to 2601 Tanglewood Trl in Austin, TX. Martha married William Burford Hahn Sr. on February 21, 1947.
Dr. Buford Hahn (May 21, 1912 – Mar. 16, 1998) was born in Columbus, Colorado, Texas. He went to the University of Texas and worked as a practicing physician under the employment of the U.S. Army. He enlisted with the army on June 30, 1941 and was released on December 31, 1946.
His parents were Albert William Hahn Sr. (Mar 25, 1877 - ?) and Elizabeth Belle “Lizzie” Hahn (Mar 8, 1889 – Nov. 30, 1968). His siblings were Albert William Hahn Jr. (Aug 22, 1919 – Sep 6, 1977) and Elizabeth Kathryn Hahn (Dec 1, 1920 – Dec 31, 2008).
Martha and Buford had three children in total. They were Harriet Hahn, Martha Buford Hahn, and William Buford.
Harriet Hahn was born in Austin, Travis, Texas in 1948. Harriet was then married to Ralph Long Cousins on December 18,1976. They had three sons called William Christian Cousins, Robert Long Cousins, and David Bartow Cousins.
Martha Buford Hahn was born on October 10, 1953. She married David Kiel Boone on May 26, 1990. They had one daughter named Lauren Elizabeth Boone. She was born on March 20, 1994.
William Buford Hahn Jr. was born on June 22, 1957. At age 38 he moved away from his family and moved to Huntsville, AL.
Scotty’s last sibling, Robert Felton Etheridge Sr. (Jul 1, 1923 – Mar 20, 2007) went to the University of Mississippi in 1947. He enlisted in the Air Corps Branch of the Army on December 4, 1942. Robert Felton Ethridge Sr. was first stationed at Camp Shelby in Mississippi as a Private. His civil occupation was as a railroad clerk. Robert would marry Bonnie Jean Garber (Sep 7, 1931 – Mar 11, 2017) on December 27, 1960. They had one son called Robert Felton Ethridge Jr. They would later get divorced in Jun 15, 1982. Robert was buried at Rest land Memorial park in Dallas, Texas.
Robert’s son, Robert Felton Etheridge Jr. (Jan 12, 1962 – Oct 27, 2018) graduated from Hillcrest High School and North Texas State University. Robert was nicknamed Bobby. He was a devout member of First Baptist Church of Dallas where he sang in the choir as a child and played the tuba in the orchestra as an adult. An accident then occurred causing Bobby to become paralyzed and he served as a volunteer minister by calling homebound members. He was a member of Toastmasters and an avid sports fan, with the Dallas Mavericks being his favorite team. His wife was Melinda Brown and he did not have any children.
Wife Walker met Laura Virginia Pittard (1913 – 1956), and they married on January 15, 1938 in Escambia, Florida. Walker and his wife did not have any children. They would visit Walker's parents ever so often and his parents would also visit. On December 27, 1940, Lieutenant Walker and Mrs. Walker Ethridge of Pensacola, Florida, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ethridge for the remainder of the holidays.
On August 31, 1941, Walker and his wife spent the Labor Day holidays with his parents. His parents also made a visit to him and his wife. Walker’s parents return from their visiting him on February 10, 1942.
